A 39cm low seat-to-floor option makes transfers, car and environment access easier, while new magnetic brakes, motors and actuators keep it noticeably quiet.

The launch specification includes 50° power tilt, 150° recline, 30.5cm seat lift and power elevating legrests - perfectly paired with Permobil's next-generation seating for pressure relief, stability and posture.

Seat sizes start at just 12" wide, so smaller users get a properly fitted chair rather than a scaled-down large one.

What is the Permobil M4 Nexa?

A compact mid-wheel drive powerchair launched by Permobil in September 2026. It combines a 54cm-wide base with full power seating — tilt, recline, lift and elevating legrests — for people who need Permobil-level positioning in tighter indoor spaces.

How wide is the M4 Nexa?

54cm overall, with a 44.5cm turning radius. Most UK internal doors are 76cm or wider, so it passes through with room to spare, and it'll turn in a standard hallway or bathroom.

What's the difference between the M4 Nexa, M4 Nexa LH and M4 Nexa Jr?

Same chair, three set-ups. Standard has a 43cm seat-to-floor height. LH (Low Height) drops that to 39cm for easier transfers and table access. Jr uses the same base with seat widths from 30cm for children and smaller adults. We'll recommend the right one at your assessment.

How does the M4 Nexa compare to the M3 Corpus?

The M3 is bigger, heavier and faster, with a longer range. The M4 Nexa gives up some of that for a narrower base, lower seat, quieter drive and easier servicing. If you spend most of your time indoors or in a vehicle, the Nexa usually wins; if you cover long distances outdoors, the M3 still has the edge.

How do I get one?

Book a free assessment at our Cornwall, Milton Keynes or Liverpool centres, or a home visit across the South, Midlands and North UK. We'll fit and set the chair up for you, and provide a written quote. We support private purchase, charity funding, Access to Work and NHS wheelchair service voucher schemes.

How is it serviced?

Every major adjustment uses a 4mm or 5mm Allen key, and seat depth can be set with you in the chair. Our engineers service and repair Permobil chairs at both workshops and on the road.
