The head pad includes extended support along the suboccipital area to effectively promote proper positioning even while the head rotates. Crucially, the lateral section extends further forwards than standard pads to contain the head and provide essential support for clients with low muscle tone. A clever ear cut-out detail ensures comfort across different resting positions.
Spex head support pads are built for comfort and pressure relief: they feature an internal aluminium shell for rigidity, encased in injection-moulded polyurethane foam. A soft memory foam overlay manages pressure, even for users with high tone patterns. This shape is geometrically and biomechanically designed for superior stability.
Available in both Paediatric and Adult sizes, this pad works seamlessly with the versatile Spex Stylo hardware to accommodate an extensive range of positioning requirements. A standard lateral version, which is 4 cm shorter in lateral extension, is also available.
