MyEcc

The HomeBrace MyEcc is a specialist eye-control system that lets a user drive a powered wheelchair independently using only their eye movements. Paired with the user's eye-gaze communication device, MyEcc translates where they look into precise, real-time driving commands.

It was developed for people who can no longer use their hands or arms reliably — including those living with conditions such as motor neurone disease (ALS), multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, tetraplegia and cerebral palsy — provided they have sufficient vision to use the control. Looking in a direction drives the chair that way; closing the eyes stops it immediately.

Choose your display

MyEcc is available with either a Windows or iOS display — select your preferred option above. Both deliver the same eye-controlled driving; the choice comes down to the communication device and platform that suit the user best.

MyArm positioning

The optional MyArm holds the eye control at the correct distance from the eyes — whether seated, lying down or standing. Made from powder-coated stainless steel, it fits common talker mounts and attaches to the wheelchair's biomechanical length compensation so tracking is maintained as the seat moves.

Assessment, trial and support

MyEcc is supplied following a personal assessment and product trial to confirm suitability, with a trial report available for funding applications. Delivery includes set-up and familiarisation, with ongoing telephone support, readjustment and a full repair service.
